Director of Study Abroad
Jennifer Heusted-McKendree joined YFU on September 10, 2001, and after the tragic events of the following day, she has made it her life’s work to promote global citizenship through Youth For Understanding’s intercultural exchange programs. McKendree brings to her role 20+ years of background knowledge in YFU’s study abroad, volunteer, and hosting programs. Heusted-McKendree’s role includes providing strategic guidance and direction in the area of Study Abroad (YFU USA’s Outbound recruitment). She works closely with her team to provide resources and tools to recruit outbound students for both scholarship and tuition-based programming.
Jennifer graduated from Central Michigan University with a Bachelor of Science degree, majoring in both Psychology and Sociology. She is also a small business owner in the city of Saginaw, MI.
