Senior Director of Participant Management

Originally joining YFU as a host parent in 1998 Stephanie Gunther quickly engaged as a volunteer Area Representative and subsequently as a volunteer Field Manager in 1999. In 2000, Stephanie formally joined the YFU staff as a Michigan-based Field Director. Stephanie earned her Master’s Degree in Public Administration from Suffolk University, Boston, MA, and obtained her bachelor’s degree from Northern Michigan University.

The Senior Director of Participant Management serves as a liaison between YFU USA and its global partners, providing placement updates and the primary point of contact for the transmission of inbound and outbound student files. Stephanie also serves as YFU’s Responsible Officer to the State Department and oversees all State Department and Council on Standards for Education Travel audits and YFU USA’s adherence to the YFU International Basic Standards.
